Happy Friday, friends! Any fun plans this weekend? My book club ladies are getting together for high tea on Sunday to discuss Fates and Furies. I’ll have a full book report for you next week.

Remember when I shared this found item with you last fall? Truthis, I did love the natural deodorant but didn’t like having to apply it with my fingers so overtime I returned to my Dove {filled with terrible toxins}. That was until I read this blog post introducing me to Agent Nateur. I ordered a stick immediately and luckily it arrived last Friday just in-time for our trip to Mexico. I used it everyday and was shocked by how well it worked. And while the price tag is a little high {$19}, my health is worth it. Looking to try a new and natural deodorant, this week’s found item will be your next favorite thing. I promise.

Shine Bright

Motivational-Quotes-33

What is it about rainy days that make me so tired? I think I will light some candles and take a nice, relaxing bath. I love candles. And always love when I find a new one. Here are a few you may or may not have heard of.

  • Pieces – Pieces is a fantastic shop in Atlanta that I was finally able to visit on my recent trip. Their signature candles comes in 4 scents. I opted for the Cassis and Bergamot one. It smells just like the Diptyque Baies. Best part is the price… only $32.
  • Maison Louis Marie  – While strolling Newbury Street a few weeks back I stopped in my tracks when I saw that Steven Alan had opened a Boston Store. I literally wanted to buy everything. I restrained myself and only splurged on a Maison’s No. 4 Bois De Balincourt candle. A soy blend with essential oils named after the family home in Balincourt. The notes include cedarwood, sandalwood, vetiver and cinnamom. Delicious!
  • Follain – I am a huge fan of Follain and was excited to receive an email in my inbox this week that they have launched their own original blend candle. The best part, every aspect of our candle – from vegetable wax, to cotton wick, and eco-friendly packaging – is safe for us, and the environment. Truth be told, I haven’t made it to the shop yet but its at the top of my list for weekend errands as I think it will make a wonderful hostess gift.

I hope you are able to take some time for you this evening. And remember, sweet readers… shine bright always!

Happy Friday, sweet readers! Today, I am excited to share this week’s found item: Todos Organics’ Heal Coconut Oil.

I have my dear friend Christina to thank for introducing me to this week’s found item as she attended high school with Angel, the founder of Todos. Over dinner a few weeks back, I was sharing with her my recent episode with eczema and without taking a breath, she encouraged me to order up a jar of Angel’s coconut oil. She promised it would change my life. And thank goodness, it has.

What makes this coconut oil unique is that it is created with a seven week “warm infusion” technique that allows the oil to remain raw while infusing it with healing botanicals. The heal oil is infused with arnica and calendula, ancient skin supporters that help aid in skin ailments. This oil has replaced all moisturizing products in my medicine cabinet and has completely changed my skin. I don’t think I will use another product again. With winter upon us, I encourage you to treat yourself to one of Todos’ oils. I promise, you won’t be disappointed.

Hello, dear readers and happy Friday to you! For this week’s found item I wanted to share a product that might just save your life!

For the past year, I have tried to be more mindful of not only what I put in my body but on my body. I was first introduced to Follain last summer when they opened a shop up on the island. Follain {Gaelic for healthy, wholesome, and sound} is a beauty store with a conscience. Tara, owner and founder, believes “ditching your conventional antiperspirant for this clean, healthy and totally effective deodorant is the single most important switch you can make when it comes to health and safety.” And so, this week’s found item is Soapwalla Kitchen’s Citrus Deodorant Cream. And let me tell you, it works. Give it a try and let me know if you agree. And remember, small changes sometimes make the largest impact!

Fresh

Fresh Products
I have never been a make-up girl… something about applying foundation and using eyeliner has always caused me some trouble. What I am, though, is a skin-care product girl and let me tell you, I have been a fan of Fresh for quite some time. My addiction to all things Fresh began in college while working at Beauty by the Sea, where I was first introduced to Hesperides, which to this day is my go-to summer fragrance. Since then, I have been an loyal customer. They may know me by name at the Newbury Street location, just saying.

With these cold winter days upon us, I try to keep my skin well nourished. My routine is quite simple. I begin and end the day by washing my face with their Soy Face Cleanser. I have been using this product religiously for nearly five years. This cleanser works for all skin types and contains nourishing amino acids, rich soy proteins, and soothing botanicals to hydrate, calm, and tone. And for those nights when I attempt eye make-up (very, very limited), this cleanser washes it clean away.

Moisturizing is key. My go-to winter moisturizer is their Black Tea Age Delay Cream. Wait, did I really just admit that I use a product with the words “age delay”…. my secret is out. This nourishing and soothing cream has restored a certain glow to my skin. I can’t tell you how many comments I have received lately and I owe it all to this product. I should note that I switch things up just a bit in the summer months and use the Lotus Youth Preserve Cream. A little less rich for those warmer days.

Once a week, I indulge in a little extra TLC and use their Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask. I apply this soothing cream and twenty minutes later, my skin is like new. Try it, I promise you will see instant results.

The great thing about this Boston-based company is that they are constantly introducing and improving their product line. While visiting their Newbury Street location last week, I was introduced to three new products: Black Tea Age Delay Serum; Black Tea Age-Delay Eye Concentrate; and Black Tea Age-Delay Instant Infusion Treatment Toner. As I admitted moments before, I am focusing more and more on “age delay”. These products, as the nice salesman told me, will do just the trick. Diminish fine lines, fight free radicals, hydrate. These are my major concerns as of late. I ended up splurging on the eye cream and toner and I’m very happy I did.

Are you a Fresh fan too? If so, do tell. Would love to hear your favorite product. And remember, use your moisturizer!
